I was being busy this afternoon putting pillows in their new cases. I had been sleeping late these last few days and I had this theory it must be because of my bare pillow. So I bought a new pillow and some decent pillow cases. So I took time putting these pillows inside the case, while in my ears, my earphones were busy playing “Starting Over Again” over and over again. Winamp just kept repeating the song for me. LOL. Well, I guess I fell in love with the song, and with the movie of the same title from which it was taken from. Everyone was crazy over that film these days.

Everdearest: The Love of Her Life
.... Continued from Everdearest: Other Leaf
…. The days we shared are very special to me. They’re my best memories, like jewels in my mind and music in my heart. I couldn’t help but relive the magic of those moments and relish every sparkling second. I miss you, Honey. The two weeks you’ve been away seems centuries for me. But I’ll patiently wait ‘til you come back in my arms. How I long to be with you again.

…. Honey, love really doesn’t come easy. It pains me to realize that. Why should there be hard times? Why should lovers struggle? Shouldn’t love be pure joy?....
Mark Daniel sympathized with her. The times they had been together were not always perfect. In the beginning, adjustments had been difficult. As days rolled by, just when they got accustomed to each other’s company, other things became an issue – money, time, decisions and more discoveries.

Mark Daniel’s heart skipped a beat. Everdearest, he whispered to himself. Wondering to whom the word meant, he continued reading the letter.
Honey, I love you very much. You’re the love of my life. You are everything I have wished for and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Honey, I love you, I love you, I love you!

Everdearest: A Lonely Morning
Nothing could be nicer than waking up each morning with the one you loved right by your side.
“Laila,” Mark Daniel whispered and reached beside him; he touched no Laila.
He attempted to open his eyes but the sun bright on the window panes only blinded him. Instead, he grabbed Laila’s pillows and hugged them tightly.

The Article: His Submission
....Continued from The Article: A Changed Person
Shortly, the wind became worst. He went inside the house and spent the remainder of the night editing, reconstructing and rewriting his work over another canfuls of beer.
The next day, he visited the publication office in his campus. The article had been neatly put on paper and was now assuredly held in his hands. Summoning his courage, he knocked on the door of the literary room. Immediately, it opened.

....Continued from The Article: Sad Eyes
William stopped and exhaled a long breath. Unknowingly, silent tears formed in his eyes.
….Yes, I know that I could be hurt over and over again….
Those words were the same thoughts William had as he watched the girl. Those were the same feelings he had then. But the heartache, it was no longer the same.

....One time, I decided to visit a friend in the nearby town. I waited for a bus along the highway. So when I saw one coming, I hailed it and sat on the only vacant seat which was along the aisle. The music, a rock one, was really great that I started thumping my foot on the floor to the beat of it. Just then, on my side across the aisle, a voice impatiently said: “Will you please stop that noise?”….

William then write about Mary Jane whom he had a week-long affair when they were only thirteen.
….She dumped me for no good reason. She simply said, “Will, I am not interested with you any longer so let’s split up,” and then left. It drove me nuts for I was madly attracted to her. But I got even. I and my friends locked her in the men’s restroom….

Sometimes, I wonder if boys really do love.
The statement kept playing in William’s mind. For the tenth time tonight, he crumpled a paper and shot it into the garbage can in front of his table. He stretched himself over the cushioned chair and placed his hands at the back of his head. At least three hours had already passed but he still could not find the exact words to express his feelings. What particular feelings, he did not know either.

A Lighted Candle
Almost five years ago, a year after my father's death, I wrote this sad recollection....
As noisy as it had been, the house is now peaceful. Friends and relatives who came to commemorate with us my father’s first death anniversary had now left. And as lonely as the stillness that enveloped our home are my father’s memories, which a few hours ago, we joyfully shared.

Alone: Never Again
....Continued from Alone: A Sad Past
“Time’s up!” Elias presently said, suddenly becoming aware of time. “We better go back.”
Reluctantly, the boy followed him back. But when they reached the bench, solid black under a lamp post, no Halie was there; it was as empty as they had left it. Elias, tired and nauseated from the rides, almost broke down if not for the presence of the smiling boy.
Alone: A New Friend
He looked at his watch; nearly half an hour had passed since he came. She’ll be here soon, he thought anxiously.
“Are you alright, sir?” a boy beside him spoke up, breaking his reverie.
“Why, yes,” he quickly replied, surprised to see someone who he had not noticed before. “Why’d you say so?”

For the Last Time
Heart-broken and devastated, I wrote this piece three years ago.....
When we love, we give others the power to break us. Even though they don’t want to…
I met her months ago, when the leaves of late September danced to the afternoon breeze. She was so shy to me back then, would hardly smile nor converse. She is beautiful. But her liveliness, her honesty, and her timid gentleness were what attracted me. And the days went by so quickly. I thought the angels wrote the best story for us. Instead, they played tricks.

Two years ago, I wrote this funny piece about LOVE....
While the world’s excited preparing for the Valentine’s Day, here I am stuck with… WORK. LOL
It’s Saturday and I am supposed to be not working. But I spent the whole morning checking loads of paper (It pretty sucks, I’ve been doing this for a whole week already!). And right now, I am checking my mails, getting updates, and reading blogs. BLOGS! Everybody’s blogs seem to be about love. It’s kinda funny reading romantic lines. Oh, guess I should be sharing mine as well. LOL

Tell Eddie: Someone for Him
Continuation... (From Tell Eddie: Collision)
When he opened his eyes, the lush greenery unfolded before his view. The breathing green, freckled with dead gray, was asleep beneath the placid blue. The sky was devoid of clouds, so pristine and clear, save for the few sparrows flying in perfect serenity. All around the cemetery, marble mausoleums stood in dignity. Amos bent down and laid the flowers on the grass. He wiped with his palms the stone epitaph that said “In loving memories…”
“Linda,” he murmured.

Tell Eddie: Collision
Continuation… (From Tell Eddie: The Single Rose)
For a moment, Amos reflected back on his own life and on the many women he loved before. He compared them with Linda. Who had said they love me with all their life? he asked himself. How many said I am all they have? I guess all of them. Everyone had really loved me. But have I loved them that much? What have I given back to them? A little of my time? Of my attention? Of myself? But that was the best I could give. In my mind and heart, I had truly loved them.

Tell Eddie: Like a Deserted Road
When he stepped out of the club, a chill wind blew by that he shuddered and zipped his open jacket.
“Damn,” he muttered. “What a cold night.”
It was already past midnight and the whole city was shrouded in pale lights, utter silence, save for the few engine roars, and the mighty cold. Above, heaps of angry clouds tainted the dark continental sky, their pinkish or orange margins glistened with every flash of lightning. He looked around and only the grotesque buildings met his gaze.
